Dr. Yu Kang brings an unusually broad set of credentials to her Atlanta and Decatur acupuncture and nutrition practice. She holds a doctoral degree in Oriental Medicine from Shandong University of Chinese Medicine, a master’s degree in Nutrition from Pennsylvania State University, and a master’s degree in Clinical Neural Science from China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Before relocating to the United States, she worked as a neurologist at Xiyuan Hospital in Beijing. She completed a one-year dietetic internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital. She is licensed as an acupuncturist in Georgia (License No. 000102) and as a licensed dietitian (License No. LD002921). She also holds three NCCAOM diplomate credentials: Diplomate in Acupuncture, Diplomate in Chinese Herbology, and Diplomate in Oriental Medicine. She is a registered dietitian with the American Dietetic Association and holds a ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification.
