Stone Mountain, Georgia is home to Atholl Highlanders Pipes and Drums USA, a 25-member bagpipe and drumming ensemble that has operated for more than 30 years and bills itself as Atlanta’s Busiest Bagpipe Band. The group performs dozens of full-band, ensemble, and individual performances each year across the Atlanta region and beyond, covering a wide range of event types that include highland games, festivals, parades, steeplechases, and large-scale public gatherings.
For private engagements, the band offers full-band bookings as well as smaller ensemble configurations and individual piper hire. Private event services include weddings, funerals, church services, private parties, and charity fundraisers. The organization also performs for military units at departure and return ceremonies, reflecting a tradition of service to armed forces communities in the region.
