The Atlanta Black Family Reunion is a community-focused event organization dedicated to empowering the Black community through educational programming, family engagement, and economic development. The organization’s annual gathering is designed to bring together more than 12,000 attendees over two days, centered on three thematic pillars: education and personal development, health and wellness, and financial literacy and prosperity.
Programming at the event includes development seminars that provide attendees with skills, tools, and knowledge oriented toward achieving higher personal and professional goals. A youth summit addresses topics relevant to younger generations, including hygiene and financial planning. A vendor market gives entrepreneurs the opportunity to present products and services to an audience of thousands across the two-day event, providing direct exposure to a large, engaged local community.
Sponsored programming adds additional depth to the event’s content. A nutritional cooking session, sponsored by Kroger, demonstrates healthier cooking habits on a budget, covering techniques, recipes, and ingredient recommendations. Financial education seminars, sponsored by Navy Federal Credit Union, address budgeting strategies and the mortgage process.
Past featured guests and entertainers have included Angie Stone, Emmanuel Hudson, actors Lamman Rucker and Blue Kimble, and radio personalities Darlene McCoy and Porsche Foxx, among other community figures. The organization has drawn major brand partners including Navy Federal Credit Union, Kroger, Georgia Natural Gas, and Window World.
