Situated on 16 acres on North Arnold Mill Road in Woodstock, Georgia, Millstone Stables sits on the border of north Fulton and southeast Cherokee counties and draws riders from across the Atlanta metro, including Alpharetta, Roswell, Milton, East Cobb, Canton, and the surrounding region. The facility specializes in English Hunter/Jumper disciplines and opened in 2011 after founders Mike and Carolyn Purcell began offering riding lessons to their granddaughters.
The Morton-built barn houses 12 stalls measuring 12 by 12 feet, each featuring tongue-and-groove wood walls, double Dutch doors, individual fans, and interlocking rubber mat flooring. Nine half-acre paddocks with five-board fencing and fescue grass provide ample turnout space. A 100-by-200-foot lighted arena equipped with LED lighting, irrigation, and show-quality jumps supports flatwork and jumping sessions for competitors and recreational riders alike.
Boarding options include stall board and pasture boarding. Both programs cover twice-daily stall cleaning, scheduled turnout, blanketing, night checks, and custom grain regimens using quality hay. Optional add-on services include clipping, grooming, hand walking, and supervised grazing sessions.
Safety and convenience features include centrally monitored fire alarms, full-facility video monitoring, a central fly-spray system, LED barn lighting, and on-site management. Riders benefit from hot and cold water wash bays, four additional outdoor wash areas, a climate-controlled office, a climate-controlled tack room with private lockers, and easy trailer access throughout the property.
Training programs and riding lessons accommodate a range of skill levels. The facility maintains a partnership with CWD, a premium French saddle manufacturer. Contact the stable by phone at 770-765-2205. Millstone Stables is also active on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
