In-home visits are available throughout the metro, and virtual consultations serve clients across Georgia.
The clinical team includes International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs), nurse practitioner IBCLCs, and operates under the oversight of a board-certified lactation medicine physician holding NABBLM-C certification. This clinical structure distinguishes the practice from standard lactation support services by embedding physician-level oversight into case management.
Services span lactation office visits, home visits, virtual consultations, prenatal lactation classes, breast pump support, support groups, perinatal mental health services, breastfeeding medicine, hospital-grade breast pump rentals, and a donor breast milk banking program. The practice addresses a broad range of clinical concerns including low milk supply, oversupply, engorgement, painful latch, sore nipples, mastitis, clogged ducts, tongue tie evaluation and care coordination, slow infant weight gain, and pumping difficulties. The team also supports NICU graduates, adoptive parents pursuing induced lactation, and parents returning to work.
The facility spans 3,600 square feet dedicated exclusively to lactation services. Breastfeed Atlanta maintains in-network status with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, and all Georgia Medicaid CMOs. An in-house billing team verifies insurance benefits before each initial visit, with most families facing minimal out-of-pocket costs. No physician referral is required to schedule an appointment.
