The practice’s primary clinical focus is minimally invasive spine surgery. This surgical approach uses small incisions and tubular dilators to minimize muscle damage and reduce disruption to surrounding tissue during procedures, resulting in shorter recovery periods compared to traditional open surgery methods. Specialized instruments and implants are designed specifically for delivery through these less invasive surgical openings, allowing the surgeon to address spinal pathology while limiting post-operative trauma.

Dr. Spitz received Castle Connolly Top Doctors recognition in the Atlanta area for 2026, a designation based on peer nomination and clinical review, reflecting regional standing within the neurosurgical specialty community.

The practice website provides background on Dr. Spitz’s training and clinical philosophy, as well as information about the minimally invasive surgical techniques employed across his patient population in Cherokee County and the broader Atlanta metro.
