Swim School – Dynamo Swim School

Dynamo Swim School operates as part of Dynamo Swim Club, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1964 that has grown into one of the top-ranked age-group clubs in USA Swimming. The swim school delivers instruction to individuals of all ages and experience levels across four Atlanta-area locations: Agnes Scott College, Johns Creek, Chamblee, and the City of Decatur Oakhurst Pool.

Beginner and developing swimmers can enroll in structured group lessons, with class schedules available as downloadable PDFs for each location. Online registration is open through the website, and families manage accounts through a dedicated parent portal. Beyond entry-level lessons, Dynamo operates a full spectrum of aquatic programs: Dynamo Juniors introduces year-round competitive swimming to younger athletes, while Dynamo Masters serves adult competitive swimmers. Dynamo Multisport targets triathletes, Dynamo Water Polo rounds out the team sports offerings, and separate recreational wellness programs serve the broader community.

The organization also provides Dynamo Pool Management services to neighborhood and community pools throughout the Atlanta metro area, extending its operational reach well beyond the swim school itself.

Competitive achievement is a defining characteristic of the club. Swimmers trained through Dynamo have represented the United States at Olympic Games and international competitions. At the 2021 Tokyo Games, Brooks Curry earned gold in the 4×100 freestyle relay, Jay Litherland took silver in the 400 individual medley, and Gunnar Bentz competed on the U.S. squad. Paralympic athlete Gia Pergolini won gold in the 100-meter backstroke at Tokyo 2021.

The organization’s stated mission is to pursue excellence in competitive swimming and create lifelong athletes. Contact and program information are accessible through the website, with social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. An online contact form is available for general inquiries.
