Midtown Atlanta is home to Atlanta Anxiety Care, a specialized therapy practice focused exclusively on anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and closely related conditions. The practice serves adults and young adults ages 18 and older through both in-person sessions at its Midtown office and secure telehealth sessions available statewide across Georgia.
The clinical approach draws on several evidence-based modalities: Exposure and Response Prevention therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and Mindfulness Self-Compassion. Primary conditions treated include OCD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, and Social Anxiety. The practice also addresses perfectionism and burnout, and extends its services to college students managing academic and social pressures. Additional offerings include guidance for partners of individuals living with anxiety and coaching sessions for parents of anxious children.
The practice is staffed by Dr. Blair Cook, PhD, LPC, the owner and a specialist in OCD treatment, alongside Ashley Senghor, LAPC, NCC. The Midtown office is located at 1 Baltimore Place NW, Suite 260, Atlanta, GA 30308. The surrounding service area encompasses Buckhead, Virginia-Highland, and Inman Park neighborhoods, as well as college communities near Emory University, Georgia Tech, and Georgia State University.
Individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes and priced at $234. Accepted payment methods include cash, check, HSA card, and credit or debit cards, the latter with a 3% processing fee. The practice does not participate with insurance panels but provides superbills that clients may submit to their insurer for potential out-of-network reimbursement. A 48-hour cancellation notice is required to avoid the full session fee.
